The University is providing the Level Access tool portfolio as a centralized resource in an effort to assess and develop digital assets for greater standards compliance. These tools are provided as part of the three-year engagement with Level Access through the DAP and will be evaluated for continued use after the project is completed.
Although these tools are centrally provided, departments and units may use other tools of their choosing to achieve the same goals. If that is the case, keep in mind that reporting, training and other information will focus on this Level Access tool set.
The use of tools such as those included in this portfolio assist in the development, remediation and monitoring of digital assets. Automated testing will uncover at best 30% of accessibility issues present. Manual and functional testing are also required to assure the asset will be accessible and usable for all users.
